Adult Sunday School

Adult Sunday School The Cowden-Hart Class (Education room 410) is interactive, topically based, and multigenerational. It is the intent of the class to respect the open inquiry and dialogue that is a hallmark of Woodland Baptist Church.

The Experienced Seekers Class (Sanctuary room 128) is for senior adult men and women. Subject matter and materials are determined by the class. Open discussion is encouraged. Our life experience is greatly respected and appreciated.

The Holt Class (Education room 413) offers guided discussion of the Smith & Helwys curriculum. Friendly atmosphere and lively discussions. Thinking required!

The Men's Class (Parlor) explores eternal Biblical truths and seeks to understand what they mean in our daily efforts to be better men, husbands, fathers, sons, leaders and servants. Because of the wide range of ages in the class, both the wisdom of age and the energy and insights of youth are encouraged and appreciated.

The Thomas Class (Education room 421) uses Smyth & Helwys curriculum for Bible Study with guided, yet open, discussion.

The Seminar Class (Education room 411) enjoys a diverse selection of teachers, each of whom teach for 2-3 months on one of a wide variety of subjects. This class is a mixture of ages from 50’s through 80’s with a pleasant combination of “seasoned” and new Woodland members.

The Slimp Class (Education room 412) alternates study of Smyth & Helwys curriculum with guest speakers discussing a variety of topics. Members participate in a candid, honest discussion of Christian values and issues.

The Topics A Class (Sanctuary room 124) is known for open, honest, and respectful discussions. We study a variety of topics that help participants understand how to apply biblical and theological truths to our daily lives.

The Topics B Class (Sanctuary room 125) uses guided discussions of the Smyth & Helwys curriculum, along with various topical studies.

The WOW (Women of Woodland) Class (Education room 418) is studying for better understanding of God's word. We are also committed to provide a place of loving fellowship where we pray for and minister to the members of our class and our church family.

The Young Families & Singles Class (Education room 409) is designed to help young families (couples with or without children) and singles connect with others through fellowship and Bible study.
