WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH US?

The Peñitas Community Transformation Center in the Rio Grande Valley is a Christian ministry, led by CBF and Buckner International, which uses a grass-roots approach to community development that aims to transform the Colonias’ families through spiritual enrichment, health education, social services, educational services, business development opportunities, and access to humanitarian aid.

In a continuation of Woodland's partnership with this ministry, we've asked them to choose 5 families who could use a little help this Christmas. They've given us a "wish list" with ages and clothing sizes so we can shop appropriately. If you'd like to help, sign up, and we'll pair you with another Woodland family or two and give you the list.

On December 4th, we'll meet after church to wrap and collect the items and celebrate with lunch together. They will be delivered to the Valley later that month. It's a great opportunity to teach our kids about giving to others at this time of year. If you can't stay for lunch, you can still drop off your wrapped items on that day, but you really don't want to miss a delicious, free lunch, do you?
