LETTING YOUR LIGHT SHINE

Being a Kids Hope USA Mentor is such an easy and fun way to serve the Lord right here in our own neighborhood. You can be part of the largest faith based mentoring program in the world. For many children school is the best part of their day and the day their mentor comes is the best part of that school day. Can you read to a child? Can you play a game with a child? Can you love a child? These are all the tools you need to be a successful mentor. Billy Graham was once asked, in his daily newspaper column, how God can be shared in the classroom in today’s world. His answer was, “Let your life be a living testimony to God’s love. Let the children see Christ in the way you live—in your morality, cheerfulness, patience, and love.” It is so easy to let your light shine at Larkspur Elementary School. Join the 15 loyal mentors who go each week to be with their kid. There are 168 hours in a week and there is a child waiting for you to share just 1 hour a week with them.
