Woodland and Online Giving

Woodland Members Are Asking

Several Woodland members have inquired about giving to the church online. We have checked into the possibility of doing that, and here is what we discovered.

What are the Advantages of Online Giving ?

When people switch from writing checks to using online giving, it helps eliminate the cost of offering envelopes, printing and postage. Online giving also saves people from writing checks, keeping track of envelopes, doing unnecessary record keeping and worrying about remembering to write a check when they are out town, on vacation or just too busy.

What Are Woodland Members Saying ?

Several Woodland members, who already use online banking to pay some of their bills and to give to the church say that online banking is “. . . easy and convenient . . . time saving and worry free . . . no cost to the member or the church.”

What Are The Negatives With Online Giving ?

To do online banking, you will have to go online on your bank’s website and set up your account. Some people may prefer to bring their gift to the church as an act of stewardship and witness.

How Do I Do Online Giving If I Want to?

Step 1. SIGN UP.

Just call your bank, or go online to your Bank’s website, or visit your bank and talk face to face with a customer service employee.

Step 2. FOLLOWING THE EASY STEPS.

Each bank’s online-banking steps are easy to follow. Many of Woodland members already use such a service to pay other bills. Now you can add Woodland by a few simple clicks.

Step 3. AUTOMATIC OR ON-YOUR-COMMAND.

You can instruct your bank to send Woodland a check automatically each month or each month you can enter the date and amount you want them to send. Either way, a free bank check will be mailed to Woodland and your monthly statement will report the transaction.

Step 4. NOTIFY THE CHURCH OFFICE.

If you choose to use this service, please call or email Bill Nichols, our Church Administrator, so that we can remove your name from the offering envelop mailing list. If you have any questions or wish for someone from our computer ministry help you set up this online service, please call Bill for confidential assistance.
