Student Celebration: Revealed Recap

Do you ever feel like serving God is for someone else because you are not on the “A Team”. You don’t feel smart enough, good enough, or _________ (fill in your own) enough. “I can pray for those that do serve God.” “I will leave it to the Christian super-stars.”

Our extraordinary God uses ordinary people. You may be the answer to your own prayers!

Wes Hamilton challenged our excuses. What excuses do we have when it comes to sharing our faith and being a blessing to others? Moses had several:

  1. I don’t know enough about You! (Exodus 3:13f)
    • We can know God intimately.
    • You are as close to God as you want to be.
  2. What if they don’t believe me? (Exodus 4:1)
    • If I could just have some miracles like Moses … we are the miracle!
    • Am I living what I believe … they are watching.
  3. I am not equipped, don’t have the right gifts and strengths. (Exodus 4:10)
    • God will help you.

How can we bring our faith into our friendships? How can we help others find God through Jesus. How can we help others be better followers of Jesus?

I am just like Moses: He has excuses and unwillingness, but he goes. His first excuse was “Who am I?” This is a prerequisite to God using you. You are someone God can use!

Check out these two songs we closed with:

Hosanna (Hillsong United)

I see the king of glory
Coming on the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes
The whole earth shakes

I see his love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing
The people sing

Hosanna
Hosanna
Hosanna in the highest

I see a generation
Rising up to take their place
With selfless faith
With selfless faith

I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees
We're on our knees

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart from what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdoms cause
As I go from nothing to
Eternity

God of This City
You're the God of this City
You're the King of these people
You're the Lord of this nation
You are

You're the Light in this darkness
You're the Hope to the hopeless
You're the Peace to the restless
You are
There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater thing have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City

There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done here
There is no one like our god
There is no one like our God

Greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done here

As we left, everyone was given a guide for being a blessing for 28 days. If you would like a copy, see Lance.

We also provided instructions to help the youth encourage each other through a Facebook Group and a Blog (to post on the blog login with Revealed.Youth@gmail.com and password revealed09). Jump in and post!
